PLEASE HELPI'm not sure if this whistle is from WWII or not. It belonged to my grandfather who came here from Germany in 1951. The whistle is brass with chain and has "The Thunderer Patent" stamped on top lip and "Claytons Chicago made in England" stamped on the back. I am trying to find out more info on the history of this as well as value. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Submit your estimate of worth |

Thunderer patented whistles were used during WWII, but they're usually marked military and have a slightly different chain hook:
