PLEASE HELPI purchased a framed master drawing this morning and was wandering if it is a reproduction or authentic. The backing is old brittle brown paper with a white "Art Lore" label. The label reads "Virgin & Child By Michelangelo ~ Old Master Drawing". It also has S59-520 in the top right corner of the label. The signature on the front is "Michael Ange F." Is it authentic? I am trying to upload a picture but we'll see if I can. If not, I have several pictures I can send directly to an email address. Thank you. Santon Submit your estimate of worth |

Hi Sandy,
Michelangelo was considered a master artist and lived from 1475 to 1513 in Italy. What you have is a reproduction of his famous work. Reproductions are normally worth between $25-100 dollars. |
